Doha Debates & Sowt: A Success Story
The Challenge
In the dynamic sphere of global discussions and debates, Doha Debates , a renowned platform for dialogue on pressing world issues, took the strategic decision of further expanding their reach and deepening engagement with new listeners.
They needed a fresh, engaging medium to present their thought-provoking content and elevate their brand presence while staying true to their core values of inclusivity, diversity, and fostering meaningful conversations. It was also important for Doha Debates that the content be in Arabic in order to reach wider audiences in the MENA region.
The Collaboration
This is when the collaboration between Doha Debates and Sowt played a significant role.
The vision: to create a high-quality, branded podcast that would resonate with global thinkers and amplify their curiosity in issues that impact them and the people around them.
Doha Debates wanted a seamless solution that allows them to focus on their core mission of addressing complex global issues and bringing diverse voices to the forefront, while we handle the podcast production from A to Z.
Our team dove in:
“Collaborating with Sowt’s producers on the Lana podcast was a pleasure. They were instrumental in keeping the project on track, ensuring an efficient process at every stage. The team promptly translated the Arabic-language scripts into English, allowing our US-based team to review and approve the content. They were adept at booking compelling guests and tailoring the editorial content to resonate with our audiences. Their dedication and expertise played a significant role in the success of our podcast.”

The Impact
The result: “Lana”, the Arabic word for “ours''; a podcast featuring young Arabic speakers who represent different sides of an issue but are committed to listening to one another and engaging in open, thoughtful dialogue.
Sowt also conducted live interviews in Arabic at the TED event in Doha 2023, with the objective of bringing the topics and interviews to life in a dynamic recording space where ideas are worth spreading.
