Domains of Learning

There are three domains (area) to facilitate learning as:

a. Cognitive (Intellectual) Domains

b. Affective (Emotional) Domains

c. Psychomotor (Practical) Domains

a. Cognitive (Intellectual) Domains:

During the knowledge building process the received information is processed spontaneously in the memory cells following a automated phases of

  1. Enough information

  2. Comprehension

  3. Synthesis

  4. Analysis

  5. Application and

  6. Adaptation processes

The memory cells of the brain have in build characteristics to process the information following the above mentioned phases and to facilitate to develop perfect knowledge.

b. Affective (Emotional) Domains: Three steps of domain/change attitude

  1. Receptivity (Receiving): Open, aware, willing, alert

  2. Response (Responding): Interested, consenting

  3. Internalization: Valuing, organization, characterization

Attitude: 1. Positive and 2. Negative

c. Psycho motor (Practical) Domains: Domain/stage of skill

  1. Imitation

  2. Practice/control

  3. Automatism
