Doomed To Cry from Crisis or Try To Cease the Gloom

The universal pandemic spoiled the glamor of the year 2020 and apparently isn't offering a sufficient dose of mercy in 2021.

Civilizations worldwide are facing a new reality, and daily routines need to adjust to a new actuality. Also, numerous individuals are confronting a situation that requires the need to apply modifications to their lifestyle and alter the paths that previously they strode on.

I personally found myself on a new track and began to discover a new route, after being forced to start establishing a new initiative and starting a new private business due to realizing that I have no other option than to close the door behind me and end a number of decades of being an employee.

Now, after being confronted with no choice, I am challenged to start my new journey, probably a journey I should have started years ago. Forced to take action, I am still struggling with fear, anxieties, hopes, and dreams, but I was redeemed from the hesitations and Psychological inhibitions that years ago prevented me from taking action.

As I start paving the path of my new expedition, I need to address an intensified obstacle- the "Mid-life" crisis.

The online edition of the Cambridge Dictionary defines a "Mid-life" crisis as:

"Feelings of unhappiness, worry, and disappointment that some people experience at about 40 years old and that can sometimes lead them to make important changes in their life."

Being "at about 40 years old" is challenging to my memory capacity since I have just celebrated 56, therefore I can observe the phenomena without being emotionally engaged and from a veteran's point of view.

In the day to follow, I wish to share with my LinkedIn network the thoughts I have about the issue.

To what degree is the crisis caused by physical changes and diminishing abilities that are taking place in a middle-aged person's body? To what extent is the crisis triggered by social expectations? How does the expanding length of life expectancy affect the "mid-life" crisis?

This is a general invitation for all of those who wish to follow my perspective on the issue. Comments and insights will truly be appreciated (here on LinkedIn or please email to me –evogel@elitemidlife.com)
