Dortech Agree Deal With BAM To Deliver First All Through School in Staffordshire.

BAM (Midlands) have appointed Dortech Architectural Systems to deliver the glazing works on their John Taylor School project in Rugeley Staffordshire.

The school will be built on the former Power Station site in Rugeley, which is to be transformed into a sustainable and innovative neighbourhood.

The school will accommodate up to 420 primary and 750 secondary school pupils, as well as a 52 place nursery and 200 place sixth form.

As well as the all-through school, plans include a multi-use games area, sports pitches, sports hall and car parking.

It will be run by the John Taylor Multi Academy Trust, which already runs a number of successful primary and secondary schools in Staffordshire.

BAM have been appointed by the Department for Education to construct the all-through school.

The school is scheduled to open its doors in September 2025 and will address the growing need for school places in Rugeley.

Dortech's work involves the delivery of Technal high specification curtain walling, windows and doors which achieve the scheme's target U-value of 1.1w/m²°c and G value of 0.35 combined with elegant site lines. External louvres, designed to accommodate a 0.74kn line load, have also been designed into the façade.

Dortech are delighted to continue our partnership with BAM (Midlands) on this prestigious development.
