Dr. Maloney also, early cautioned about the use of vents in Covid 19 patients stating that placing patients on vents was becoming almost a treatment of choice, due to a daily public announcement for the need for 4O,OOO extra vents in NEW YORK ESPECIALLY, making placing patients on vents almost a treatment of choice in COVID 19 patients whose oxygen levels suddenly dropped, likely due to plugging of lung tubes by mucus that was forced further into lungs by placing patients on vents, instead of using methods in patients to remove mucus and phlegm from infected lungs (by simple means such as coughing it up instead of driving this virus further down into lungs by use of vents and forcing “pressurized” oxygen down into lungs which pushed the virus and lung clogging junk down as well. ALL HEALTHCARE WORKERS WERE WITHOUT PROTECTIVE GEAR. AS A RESULT MANY HEALTHCARE WORKERS THEMSELVES CONTRACTED THIS VIRUS AND DIED, RECEIVING THE SAME TREATMENT, BEING PLACED ON VENTS, BEDRIDDEN, NO INITIAL PROTOCOL IN PLACE TO GIVE BLOOD THINNERS (anticoagulants/ drugs that prevent clots) THAT ALL BEDRIDDEN HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS ARE ROUTINELY PLACED ON, RESULTING IN MORE DEATHS DUE TO CLOTS FORMING IN THE CALVES OF THESE PATIENTS, subsequently, BREAKING LOOSE AND SHOOTING TO THE LUNGS OF THESE PATIENTS CAUSING PULMONARY EMBOLISMS (clots in lungs, further blocking oxygen from entering the lungs of these patients), resulting in more deaths.

I am Dr. Maloney’s wife. Although I am not a physician, I am familiar with the above regarding the use of anticoagulants because 1ST- I am an attorney and I have represented patients myself in cases involving clotting and the use of anticoagulants in bedridden hospitalized bedridden patients.

• 2nd - I have listened to Dr. Maloney explaining all of this early on to Governor Cuomo’s Health Advisors and I have read all of Dr. Maloney’s recommendations sent to all Federal and State Health Officials and colleagues in letters and articles he has published and made widely known for months and months since the beginning of this Pandemic and I have witnessed his recommendations being enacted and in use today as a result of Dr. Maloney’s persistence and involvement during this Pandemic, including the advice he gave to institute drive through testing sites, as I’ve seen him do during past Health Emergencies. He has urged all doctors to do the same, including his sons who are doctors, who like all healthcare workers and first responders who have risked their lives without the proper protective gear in place treating patients, to speak up and regain control of Healthcare System partially driven by politics rather than scientific and medical decision making. Dr. Maloney has repeatedly pointed out that there is no one set of protocols existing with regards to treating COVID 19 illnesses on patients prior to hospitalization during this pandemic and recommendations are all over the place and changing constantly, depending on which sources you contact on all topics relating to this pandemic. I have contacted many myself on behalf of Dr. Maloney's practice, and many of these sources are unreachable and have promised to get back to me and have not. Furthermore, NYS has their own guidelines which change and are not always aligned with those of CMS. For example Dr. Maloney has recommended for months now that NYS collect data pertaining to illnesses associated with COVID 19 ( morbidity statistics), as is done with data collection pertaining to Lyme's disease and STDs, repeatedly suggesting the state use that process as a template for collection of COVID 19 data, and I myself have contacted the state numerous times, on his behalf, to suggest that, among other questions I have asked the state to explain to me regarding multiple guidance issues pertaining to doctors in private practice. I was repeatedly told I would receive a return call without reference to any other source. So for one thing, use your common sense in trusting Dr. Maloney's advice to follow CDC guidelines as many doctors are across the country by emergency executive orders, and use Telemedicine when possible, instead of visiting your Doctor’s office to avoid exposure to someone possibly infected with COVID 19 seeking medical attention at a medical facility, to control this virus until we have a cure or herd immunity after adequate immunization occurs. I can tell you that I myself have contacted the state with regards to issues pertaining to telemedicine services and requirements, including waivers which each state decides independently and no one could answer any one of my questions. We obviously need a change in our healthcare system and leadership should come from the medical profession and not the government and their corporate ties.
• So still, AS DR MALONEY HAS REPORTED ALL ALONG AND ADVOCATED FOR, the medical profession remains without a specific direction and protocol with regards to handling this pandemic both on the part of doctors and patients. Therefore the only thing one can do is to use your best judgment and common sense as you proceed with your lives during this pandemic, and choose carefully whose advice you decide to listen to, and remember I don't think anyone could argue with Dr. Maloney's repeated advice of "better safe than sorry". Please bear in mind that it's over a year now since the start of this pandemic and we are still hearing conflicting information on two different news stations with regards to how we should protect ourselves against this virus with no specific treatment guidelines yet to be established nationwide and as Dr. Maloney has repeatedly pointed out to our healthcare officials that there have been no guidelines set yet to treat COVID-19 illnesses in patients who are sick but not hospitalized, especially with regards to the use of steroids early on to avoid hospitalization and to decrease the progression of this illness in those who become ill from COVID 19 and not just test positive. This is so politically charged and there is such a lack of transparency, that in effect we are on our own in terms of decision making. NOW WE ARE ALL DEALING WITH A SHORTAGE OF VACCINES. IN AUGUST, 2020, DR MALONEY ADVISED GOVERNOR CUOMO TO MAINTAIN AND HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE TO USE DRIVE THROUGH TESTING SITES AS A MEANS TO PROVIDE COVID 19 VACCINES TO THE MASSES, IN A WELL THOUGH OUT CO-ORDINATED PLAN AHEAD OF TIME, REGARDING EARLY REGISTRATION, PRIOR TO THE AVAILABILITY OF THE COVID 19 VACCINE TO AVOID THE CONFUSION AND LACK OF COORDINATION THAT SO MANY PEOPLE IN NEW YORK HAVE EXPERIENCED IN THEIR ATTEMPTS TO BE PROVIDED THE VACCINE.

DR MALONEY REPORTED THIS TO GOVERNOR CUOMO AND HIS HEALTHCARE ADVISORS, MONTHS BEFORE THESE VACCINES BECAME AVAILABLE, EVEN OFFERING HIS OFFICE SPACE 24/7 AND AN ADEQUATE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS DR MALONEY HAD ASSEMBLEDED IN PREPARATION TO VACCINATE THOUSANDS OF NEW YORKERS. 3rd- Dr Maloney’s annual Christmas party for indigent children will take place, HOPEFULLY, this year in July (CHRISTMAS IN JULY). Due to the pandemic, we can't protect the "thousands" of people, families and children who show up to Dr. Maloney’s office every year for his party, along with the hundreds of volunteers: (with social distancing, our normal very long line would have to be miles long to ensure the safety of all.

I assure you that as soon as it is safe for all Dr Maloney will hold the party and will re-open St Rita's Free Medical Clinic. New York’s finest, our local and county policeman and county executives and volunteers from all over, Westchester County and all over, have volunteered their time for years, standing out in the cold to protect all those coming to this party. However, again, it is impossible to protect everyone with such large crowds showing up every year from possibly coming in contact with somebody infected with the coronavirus. We have discussed that if we were to conduct the party this year with social distancing in place, based on the number of children and family members that show up to this party, we would literally have a line that stretches from Dr. Maloney's office, for example to the Galleria in White Plains, over six miles long. DR. MALONEY HAS FREQUESNTLY CALLED ON THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY TO DO THE SAME AND VOLUNTEER A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME, WITHOUT PAY, AS DR. MALONEY AND HIS VOLUNTEERS DO, IN AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF HEALTHCARE IN THE U.S. AND TO DEVISE MEANS SUCH AS HE HAS TO INCREASE THE DELIVERY OF PREVENTIVE CARE SERVICES TO RACIAL AND ETHNIC MINORITIES WHO ARE MOSTLY UNDERSERVED.

I , as well as Dr. Maloney hope that you and your families are all safe and well, and we send our prayers and condolences out to all of those who have lost loved ones due to this horrific pandemic, understanding how difficult these times are for you all, especially.
