Driven by Data | The Newsletter: Edition 3

Welcome to our weekly newsletter! As we close out the month of March, we can't help but reflect on how incredibly busy this month has been for us. From exciting events to new initiatives, we've been running at full speed, and we're thrilled to share all of our latest updates with you!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic roundtable event in Manchester that brought together 30 senior data leaders passionate about making a difference in their organizations. It was an incredible evening filled with insightful conversations, engaging discussions, and plenty of networking opportunities (and pizza!). We were thrilled to see so many people come together to share their ideas and learn from one another.

The fun of March isn't quite over yet. This Thursday, we're kicking off the third cohort of our highly successful mentorship program. We're excited to welcome a new group of mentees and mentors who will be working together over the coming months to achieve their personal and professional goals. It's always inspiring to see the connections and growth that come out of this program, and we can't wait to see what this new cohort will achieve.

Orbition Talent Weekly Insight

This week's talent insight is from our Ethan Simpkin !

Although not a new concept, ESG consideration has grown significantly in the last 10 years. Around 93% of the world's largest companies (by revenue) now report on ESG performance, with ESG assets likely to exceed $50 trillion by 2025.

ESG investment options are becoming increasingly popular with younger generations. Investment organizations need to consider the options they provide and where they fit within today’s cultural expectations and societal values. This is a response to Socially Responsible Investing (SRI).

For instance, Gen Z are 80% more likely to ask about ESG options than Boomers.

Are you prepared to answer those questions to the up-and-coming top talent? The data & analytics market moves at such a fast pace that keeping up with the latest employee value proposition can be challenging, so you are certainly not alone if you're not confident you could genuinely answer those ESG questions.

Reach out to Ethan Simpkin if this is something you'd like to discuss in confidence.

That is everything for this week, so we'll leave you with this...

Why do machine learning models have trust issues?

Because they always have to cross-validate.

Thanks!
