Effective Lifelong Learning

We say amongst trainers that we often learn the most preparing for a training, and the one who can Keep-It-Simple-Stupid has truly demonstrated mastery of the subject. One of the best ways to learn and test one's understanding is to teach-back the subject to someone else using a whiteboard to succinctly capture the key concepts using mind maps, diagrams, charts and tables. Teach-back requires recalling, re-organising and re-presenting the content tailored to your audience, a highly recommended cognitive exercise as we age! Always be ready to learn (from anyone), teach and repeat.

My learning mantra: I'm always willing to learn if you have
something to teach... (sounds familiar?).
