It’s OK to talk ‘mental health’, isn’t it? 💭

Sowmya Mahadevan, our COO and Co-Founder, alongside Lou Peck, the CEO and Founder of The International Bunch , share their insights in a candid and heartfelt post about mental health on The Scholarly Kitchen. In the guest post titled "Mental Health Awareness Mondays: It’s OK to Talk ‘Mental Health’, Isn’t it? Two Founders, Two Opinions", both founders delve into their personal journeys with mental health, the challenges they have faced while running their businesses, and the lessons they have learned along the way.

I strongly believe that effective communication is also very important in maintaining strong relationships and managing stress. Honesty opens you up to solidifying and strengthening connections. - Sowmya Mahadevan

They discuss the importance of mental health awareness within organizations and offer practical advice for new entrepreneurs on how to support their mental well-being. Sowmya and Lou also reflect on how the pressures of leadership can affect mental health and emphasize the need for a supportive and understanding work environment.

For me, it’s all about being kind to yourself and recognizing when you need to get support. It’s not a weakness to show that you need help or support, it’s a strength. - Lou Peck
