Italian car makers Fiat have announced they will no longer be making cars in grey but instead in bright bold colours that reflect Italy. Their new ad has the brands CEO Oliver Francois inside the new 600e being dunked into a vat of orange paint. Designed to embody the Italian way of life and the brands new value Dolce Vita, some of the colours are named Sea of Italy, the Sun of Italy, the Earth of Italy and the Sky of Italy.

Threads is the new app from Meta which links to Instagram and is yet another alternative to Twitter as users leave the long standing status update app. Launching Thursday 6 July, the text-based conversation app will be a place where communities can come together to discuss everything from topics you care about to what’s the latest trend. Users will be able to use their Instagram to login in to Threads.

GreyParrot.ai is the UK start-up that has created an AI system designed to analyse waste processing and recycling systems. Created in a bid to help demostrate how wasteful and harmful products can be, and influence packaging designs. Around 2.5 billion tonnes of waste is produced every year, and this AI has spent time looking at conveyor belts of rubbish to create a database 32 billion waste objects to be able to see them even when crumpled up.

Isolarii publishing is printing revivals of the Venecian “Island Books” that emerged during the renaissance in small pocket sized books that you can subscribe to and receive bi-monthly. The idea being that taking huge avant garde ideas and funneling them into something small, screws with the sense of scale while bringing the big ideas into the mainstream and re-educating.

Loo Gardens is the magical, subterranean, upcycled installation nested within the Thames Tideway Tunnel, or super-tunnel. Made from repurposed waste from the banks of the Thames, hand-painted flowers and sustainable artificial plants and flora, the campaign is designed to highlight the benefits to be gained from protecting the River Thames from sewage.
Tideaway is the company building a twenty-five kilometer sewage system under the river-thames in a bid to intercept sewage spills and clean up the famous river for good.
