EMOTIONS IN COACHING
Welcome to the latest edition of the Association for Coaching’s (AC) Newsletter. This week:
What do you do when strong emotions show up in a coaching session?
Join us on January 14 2025 for a new four-part webinar series with coach and trainer, Bevis Moynan focusing on the role that emotions play during the coaching journey and how to work safely with them as a coach. Bevis will lead a practical series to explore how, as a coach, you can enhance your emotional resilience while increasing your ability to help your clients in this space.
Over four webinars, we will explore emotions and the role they play in your clients’ lives and decision-making processes. This awareness can then be shared to help your clients navigate challenging times emotionally while maintaining a coach approach rather than a therapist’s approach.
You will learn:
This is available to members and non-members, and non-members will receive a year’s free associate membership. It is worth 6 CPD hours.

Find out why coaches should help clients focus on vision, rather than goals, and what part primary emotions and relationships play in the coaching journey
Listen to an insightful podcast episode as host and coach, George Warren, is joined by Distinguished Professor in organizational behaviour, psychology and cognitive science, Richard Boyatzis. They discuss how coaching needs to focus on the bigger dreams and visions of clients, instead of goals.
Richard shares his research-based knowledge on what can help us navigate the current perma-crisis we are in. He challenges the coaching world to examine if their current methods are producing the results we think they are, and asks us all to think more holistically – towards ourselves and our clients to combat the excessive narcissism of our modern world and bring a brighter future for all.
You will learn:
A thought-provoking and powerful conversation!
