EMPLOYEE'S WELFARE, A GREAT CONCERN FOR SME's

A research carried out by linkedin learning shows that 94% of employees will stay longer with a company if it invests in their career development.


Building the capabilities of your team is not just pivotal to the delivery of business goals but it has the potency of improving employee retention by close to a 100%. Some business leaders will tell you "What if I train them and they leave?" But the question is "What if you don't train them and they stay?


It is pertinent that business leaders look beyond just achieving business goals, to the empowerment of employees to also achieve personal goals within and outside the organization. The relationship between business leaders and employees should always be a "Win/Win" relationship.


To achieve this, business leaders must of necessity align employee personal goals with business goals and employee passion to job roles. The workforce must be made to see the relevance of capability development efforts, to them as individuals both within and outside the organization.

An advice for startup who seems to be profit making inclined, forget to take care of employee's welfare and by so doing lose some of their best workforce. Learn how to make room for your employee's welfare and well being and watch their productivity level soar high.
