Your employer branding is an integral part of your company’s image. Employer branding allows companies to show their brand to potential employees, customers, and investors. Although we’ve discussed outbound recruitment, this does not mean you should abandon inbound marketing like employer branding.

The myth about Employer branding

It’s a myth that Employer branding is valid only for inbound Recruiting. Employer branding and outbound recruitment work together to create the best approach for candidates. Although employer branding is a critical element of recruitment, it’s not only for inbound but also outbound recruitment. Inbound recruiting is about attracting candidates through marketing. Outbound recruitment is a strategy for contacting candidates and targeting candidates.

How does Employer Branding Give a Competitive Edge?

Employer branding is a powerful tool to support your outbound recruitment efforts and give your company a competitive edge. Here’s why:

Your mission covers the good ground.

Potential candidates can see your mission and values and what you stand for as a company. Possible candidates might be interested in your past achievements and successes. You will be different from other candidates if you have any additional information.

Imagine, for example, that your organization thrives on providing grammatical assistance that immediately helps writers spot mistakes. To spark interest in your organization’s hiring, you might consider reaching out to people with a background in creative and literary writing. You can also find past writing samples from them to boost your outreach.

Employees are your internal supporters.

You have internal supporters. Your target candidates should be able to see insider information about you in your initial message. This could include but is not limited to positive reviews from employees and recent promotions that show your company’s professional growth opportunities.

You could say, for example, that Employee A from the Marketing Team believes the best thing about being part of this team is the weekly happy hour with the other members.

It’s not as difficult as it sounds! Sometimes, fun events like this can attract potential employees!

People already know the company, and you need to spend less time talking about it.

People will learn more about you when you focus on the perks and advantages of your company. When you update your company website, review platforms (Glassdoor and Indeed), etc., people will notice that you work for a well-established organization. ), and to increase your social media presence.

On your social media pages, you can showcase the achievements of your employees that have made a difference to the company. This will help potential candidates learn more about your company culture and support your current employees.
