Empower Your Purpose: Scott Gogolin

Empower Your Purpose: Scott Gogolin

Meet Scott Gogolin, a senior manager in Assurance and Financial Reporting at Rehmann. A dual-degree holder, Scott boasts bachelor’s degrees in both accounting and finance from Ball State University and is a Michigan certified CPA. His mission at Rehmann: guiding his team in growing the firm’s banking and investment fund practice.

Whether he finds himself collaborating on high-level strategy with a principal or mentoring an intern, Scott says he enjoys the time he spends with the people at Rehmann—not only because he finds his colleagues friendly and always willing to help each other but also because he can work closely with them, no matter where they’re located.

Scott primarily works in Rehmann's Troy office but says the firm’s flexible work policies make it easy for him to link up in person with colleagues in other offices, something he truly values in his role. The opportunity and resources the firm devotes to supporting everyone at Rehmann, wherever they choose to work—at home, in any of Rehmann’s 18 offices, or somewhere in between—is one of the reasons he returned to Rehmann after briefly leaving to help a large regional bank build a new Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) program. He says he’s immensely grateful to be back.

Another Rehmann perk Scott appreciates: The firm’s commitment to work-life balance. When he’s not watching NASCAR and IndyCar races, Scott enjoys spending time skiing, golfing, and being on the water. The latter is something he gets to do even more of, thanks to the weeklong Fourth of July holiday break Rehmann gives all associates. He says that bonus summer week helps him recharge his batteries while he spends meaningful time with friends and family.
