End Mindless scrolling with these 10 simple tips


#1 Turn off App Notifications

Go into phone settings> Click App notifications> Turn off distracting apps e.g. social media

This will mean you won't hear pings and buzzes from those apps anymore.

#2 Delete apps and if needed access them through the internet Removing the ease of access for distracting appswill reduce temptation to use them.

#3 Rearrange your home screen to make it less Sexy. Put distracting apps out of sight and into folders, change your wall paper and really give it a dull makeover.

If it looks dull and boring instead of bright and flashy you are less likely to use it as often.

#4 Download the App Screentime If you are aware of how much you are using then you can make changes to reduce your use

#5 Set boundaries for how you should use your phone e.g. No phone until you have showered and had breakfast

#6 Set expectations with others for how they should message you e.g. times to contact you and if you would prefer to have a call instead of continuous texting

#7 Leave your phone out of sight Hide your phone in another room, a cupboard or anywhere else that you won't see it. This will remove temptation to use it

#8 Find the balance of what you need and want to be on your phone for and set screentime limits. You can do that with the screentime app.

#9 Find alternatives to replace your phone use with e.g. reading, walking, exercise, music, watching a movie (not distracted)

#10 Be more mindful of your phone to decide when you use your phone over habit making you use it.

Even if you only do ONE of them it will make a Massive difference to how much you use your phone
