Enduring Love Across Lifetimes
Most of us have heard about the 7 wonders of the world.
One of them is the Borobudur temple in Central Java province, Indonesia.
Do you know that there is an enduring love story carved on it?
The story of Prince Siddhartha and Bimba Devi alias Yasodhara's past life romance, as depicted on the #Borobudur temple, originates from the Jataka tales, which narrate the previous lives of Prince Siddhartha.
According to these tales, #Siddhartha and Yasodhara shared 547 past lives together, each illustrating their deep spiritual connection and mutual support.
In one of these lifetimes, Siddhartha was reborn as a #wise and compassionate man, while Yasodhara was a celestial being known as a kinari, a mythological creature with the body of a human and the wings of a bird, renowned for their beauty and grace.
Drawn by his kindness and #moral strength, the kinari descended from her celestial realm to be near him, and their love blossomed despite their different natures, realms of existence and the many tests, trials which the wise man had to endure to win back the kinari princess he deeply loved.
This profound and enduring #love continued across many lifetimes, culminating in their final rebirths as Prince Siddhartha and Princess Yasodhara. In this life, Yasodhara became the devoted wife of Prince Siddhartha, supporting him through his journey towards enlightenment.

The story, carved into the stone reliefs of the Borobudur temple, serves as a reminder of the power of love and the spiritual connections that bind beings across different lives.
It also highlights the key teachings on karma, the cycle of rebirth, and the pursuit of spiritual growth and enlightenment. The Borobudur reliefs thus not only depict historical and mythical narratives but also embody the moral and philosophical lessons.
May you be able to find your true #love too. And may your love be resilient, enduring.
Perhaps you may like to visit #Indonesia, a country with a lot of natural beauty and wealth of #spirituality which can nourish your soul, not just a #G20 major country with plenty of promising #businesses, #projects.
