Topics Covered: Windows Enrolment Workloads (General - Enrollment Notifications and Co-Management Settings)

Hello, LinkedIn audience! In this article, we'll examine the Fifth and Sixth Windows Enrolment Workload general settings that are crucial for the users to enroll their device to MDM and to have the enrollment experience. I'm indeed talking about Enrollment Notifications and Co-management Settings.

▶ Enrollment Notifications (Preview)

Public Preview is the current state of this feature. The employees on the newly registered devices will receive notifications after setting up the enrollment notifications in Intune. You can write a personalized message for your staff members and add instructions on how to report an unidentified device in the notification.

Enrolment notifications are delivered by Intune via email or push notifications. Email notifications are subject to the branding and customization preferences of your tenant.

Notifications of enrollment are functional on devices running:

  • Android
  • iOS/iPadOS
  • macOS
  • Windows 10/11 OS
  • Linux OS

We will be looking at an example of how to create enrollment notifications on the Microsoft Endpoint Manager Admin Center.

A device user's perspective of an enrollment notification is depicted in the example image below.

↪ Prerequisites to create the Enrollment Notifications

  • You must be a Global Administrator or an Intune Administrator in order to create an enrollment notification.
  • In Tenant administration > Customization, set up branding and customization preferences. ( Company Branding)

Only user-driven enrollment strategies are compatible with enrollment notifications.

↪ Things you should know

Users receive email notifications in their inboxes. The Intune Company Portal apps for iOS/iPadOS, macOS, and Android display push notifications. The Company Portal for Windows does not support enrollment push notifications, therefore they never show up there.
