#EnoughIsEnough and Here's What We're Going to Do About It.
At AC Lion, we are committed to doing more...to doing better...and we recognize that as a company, as recruiters, as a society - as human beings - we do not have all the answers.
The statement quoted below is one that comes standard in every AC Lion hiring contract; however, we recognize that including one sentence about equal employment is far from enough. As Executive Recruiters, we need to educate ourselves - and in turn, educate our clients. We need to listen to the voices who need and must be heard. We need to learn - not only from our past mistakes, but from our current circumstance - day by day, hour by hour. And above all, we need to act. Because these words are meaningless unless we show up and do better.
We humbly ask that if you have ideas or suggestions on how we can accomplish those goals, to take two minutes and share them with us in the comments section or the anonymous link here. We can’t dismantle these deep-rooted institutional issues overnight; however, we will never dismantle them if we don’t take that first step. We will aim for progress over perfection. We will not wait until tomorrow or “when the time is right.”
The time is always right to do what is right. That time is now. #BlackLivesMatter #EnoughIsEnough #AmplifyMelanatedVoices #NoJusticeNoPeace
“It is the policy of AC Lion to provide equal opportunity to all qualified persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other prohibited basis of discrimination, reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities, and we appreciate your cooperation.”
