NEW RESEARCH: Establishing an Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative Across a Large, Diverse Health Care System

This recent study from The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety details one acute-care organization's efforts to establish an antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) collaborative across a diverse network by uniting local resources with a central advisory team. Nearly all organization hospitals fully implemented CDC core elements for ASPs within the first year of establishing the systemwide collaborative, and most facilities achieved their reduction goals.
