Evaluating Annual Business Goals For The Homestretch
As the summer is winding down, this is the great opportunity to take a moment. Take a pause. Enjoy the last few days of summer, and think about what goals you intended to set out for yourself and your company this year and where you are.
How are you tracking that as you move into September? I look at this as the home stretch of the year, and I just did this for Slater Success.
We released the Succession Planning Toolkit earlier this year which was an important part of our goals.
We are working on updating our website and have set the plan in motion during a recent meeting.
Now is a great time of year to take a second and take a look at what goals you set out for yourself and your company this year and how you're doing on implementing and tracking them.
Look at your finances, look at your marketing, and your sales.
Look at all the components of your business, as well as your team.
Then think about what you need to do to meet your goals.

I always like to have a great conversation with my own accountant in September, at the latest in October.
Looking at your annual goals, assessing where you are in meeting them, and looking forward to the next year are important things to do to prepare for the following year and review what's been accomplished this year.
Taking a minute to look at what goals and objectives you set for yourself and your company this year is step one.
Step two is analyze what you are tracking and then set the action plan in place for what the home stretch of the year is going to look like for you, put deadlines around them, and feel free to let us know how you do.
