Even The Best Were Once The Worst
Hey there,
Naturally, there will always be someone ahead of you and someone behind you.
So we just can’t get worked up over little things like that.
You’ve got 2 choices once you’ve made that realisation.
You can either give up because someone is ahead of you.
Or you can use it as motivation to do better.
My son hit that fork in the road recently.
First week at a brand-new school...it can be a lot!
Everything is different because it’s all new to you.
He got to his PE class and realised that some of the other kids were a little ahead when it came to cricket and tennis.
Here’s his fork in the road.
He can either give up now because some other kids are ahead and there’s ‘no point’ trying now.
Or he can buckle down, practice and become just as good as them (if not better!).
He made his choice and told me about his day, including the PE class.
In my mind, it was a no-brainer what we needed to do.
We’re hitting up Rebel sport, buying some gear and hitting the nets Saturday morning.
Instead of being envious of people that are slightly ahead of you, pick their brain.
You aren’t going to be an expert about everything from the get-go.
One of the things that stop so many people from looking into their money is the fear of not knowing enough.
The great revelation is that even the best of the best were once the worst.
And imagine if those people never started out of fear that they were too late or looked silly.

The fear of looking dumb….F.O.L.D if you will.
Don’t let it stop you from reaching greater heights.
Whether it be your money, a sport, or anything for that matter.
Use the people ahead of you as motivation and pick their brains for knowledge.
Find people to help you better your understanding and give it a go.
Lessons from a 7-year-old this week — lessons in the most unlikely of places!
Until next time.
