Even Stars are made from Dust
Did you know that every star begins from a cloud of dust and gas? In fact, every magnificent thing in this universe was once just a beginning. Every accomplishment, every dream, is born from a hope, a thought. Something as insignificant as a speck of dust can turn into monumental moments of beauty. This is how I view every change that has happened in my life, as a grand and splendor thing.
Change is cleansing. Mind opening. An opportunity to start fresh. My optimistic perception takes hold, allowing me to become vulnerable and discover what I’m truly capable of. Those little waves of anticipation mixed with scattered butterflies? I welcome that feeling. The moments of the in-between, of the unknown, of what is to come and not knowing how I will feel when it arrives….It's a good scare. A healthy scare. A scare that challenges me to rise up and take charge and do what I have to do until I feel like I control it instead of it controlling me.
The questions of What am I doing? How will I win at this? How fast can I grab the bull by the horns?- They all float around like slow moving specks of dust, just hanging there in my peripheral vision, but not in the way of my focus. One day I know the air around me will be clear and bright. The dust will be spun into something worthwhile. I will have blown those specks into beautiful stars. They will turn into accomplishments and pose bigger questions of Where can that take me? What worked? How can I make this even better?
And so begins more questions, more challenges, more dreams… more CHANGE. Every change in my life has the potential for something fabulous to develop. I hold the key to create the stars that surround me.
You can’t have rainbows without the rain and you can’t have stars without dust. There is magic in the process. Change is simply a beginning, what we make of it is up to us. It’s as simple as that.
