Events by numbers - the LZ version!

Painting by numbers used to be a thing, it might even still be a thing. Here is my version, ‘events by numbers’ of the last 3 months for the LZ team in our world of event management, creative production, digital media and entertainment.

As we enter Q2 of the year, yes Q2 already, I took time to reflect on the past few months and what we have worked on at LZ. It’s been hectic, but a good hectic and it’s given the team a mixed bag of events, content and production to absolutely boss!

I’ll start with a summary by numbers of our January - March:

19 venues visited

17 events delivered

28 internal planning/briefings

41 supplier meetings

2 referrals for new business – THANK YOU

2 new clients (different to the referrals above)

3 venue food tastings with clients

6 interviews for roles at LZ

2 new team members - WELCOME

1 Festival scoping

12 cities/towns visited

And a jam-packed calendar of events for Q2, Q3 & Q4.

You can say the past 3 months have been something of a whirlwind.

Project summary

Here is a bit more detail on some of the events and projects we have been working on.

The #helpharryhelpothers charity ball was a phenomenal success for such a great cause. It was the 10th anniversary which raised over £50,000, involving hundreds of guests and celebrity presenters. LZ were delighted to be involved to deliver rock solid event management services.

We’ve been supporting and delivering several smaller projects in our home City of Birmingham too which has been wonderful to support our local network. This involved event finding services to discover new spaces and delightful venues. It is fair to say event booking for our team has been crazy these last few months.

Last week we delivered an event for a new client that involved a bit of everything from the services we offer:

·        Venue sourcing and management.

·        Event Management services, co-ordinating and taking care of all the event elements

·        Full production, including a large wow-factor LED wall – you can see some of the pictures in our social posts.

·        Branding and theming across the event.

Our team have delivered in-store retail events in the Bull Ring, and we’ve even supported a celebrity birthday bash (we can’t say who)!

To get us in the summer mood we’ve had the pleasure of scoping for a summer festival for over 3,000 people! This got our creative juices flowing coming up with some exciting themes.

Other events include delivering conference and events services for long-standing clients. We have even booked entertainment for a clients’ Christmas party, securing the last available December date for in the entertainer’s diary – crazy, but that’s life in events.

It has been a great feeling to work with some amazing customers where we were able to inject our creativeness to design events from the perspective of the attendee and then build the event and interaction from that point.

There is still a lot of emphasis on immersive events that are interactive with the audience and making the event memorable and associated with a brand or theme. All which give us a warm fuzzy feeling as it enables us to be imaginative and relevant.

Here’s to the next quarter!

We love events.
