Everyday AI: How Collaborative Workflows Are About to be Radically Transformed
After months and months of AI HYPE, by now you might be wondering:
OK - HOW WILL I ACTUALLY USE AI IN MY DAY-TO-DAY WORK?
Well - if you want to see a great example of AI in action, take two minutes and watch the new launch video by Flair AI . This SUPER COOL design tool points to the VERY NEAR FUTURE of AI design work flow. As you watch their brief demo - keep an eye out for:
Welcome to the new world of tomorrow - here today!
While this example is for product photoshoots, the broad outline for AI Collaboration - across all industries - is starting to snap into focus:
1). OPEN PROMPT AI INTEGRATION - Open AI prompt fields will be integrated into daily tools. This example is built on Stable Diffusion, but everyday users will not be too concerned with which model, as long as it is a fairly recent update. Even MS-Office suite will have deeply integrated AI prompts - so much so that you will probably forget that you're using something called "AI".
2). INDUSTRY SPECIFIC AI MODELS - Industry specific templates and "smart prompts" will further fine-tune the AI response so that initial broad outputs are refined to production quality. In fact, "AI model training" is poised to be a whole new job category in literally every single business field, and will keep human brains busy for years (decades?) to come. Flair is a great use case example because it is so visual, but the industry specific AI modeling and "smart prompts" concept can be multiplied across literally thousands of applications.

3). COLLABORATIVE DECISION STREAMS - Collaborative output streams are built into the Flair platform so that human beings can easily respond to and further refine the integrated AI collaboration process. As wonderful as AI outputs will likely become, humans will still be on the receiving end of the design process, adding additional nuances, requesting additional prompts, and ultimately making decisions about how to proceed. In the future, AIs might get busy making designs for other AIs to enjoy - but for human-centered design, the AI-to-Human collaboration stream will quickly become a basic feature of how almost every design project everywhere on the planet moves forward.
The bottom line: The iterative design process - whether in graphics, video, architecture, writing of all kinds, strategy, sustainable development etc. is going to be radically compressed in terms of time, and dramatically expanded in terms of quality of output.
NOTE: Even if you aren't in a visual design field - the design flow modeled here is worth exploring as some version of it will likely play out in every type of collaborative effort moving forward::
Open prompt AI Integration + Industry Specific AI Models = Super Fast, Richly Detailed Collaborative Decision Streams
Based on powerful and first-to-market tools such as Flair AI, and many many others that are popping up everywhere, it's safe to say the 2020s will be marked as an incredible new golden age of design and collaboration, the beginnings of which we are just starting to see.
It's too early to predict the exact impact of this accelerated design and collaboration process, but it's worth considering an old adage from tech futurist George Gilder - Fortunes are made by those who exploit what is suddenly cheap and abundant in order to provide what is suddenly scarce and valuable.
