An exceptional choice : Photographing Flowers: Exploring Macro Worlds with Harold Davis

 
 This book was selected for a close friend who already has a knack for photography, but that I felt would appreciate the additional insight. I must say that this was an exceptional choice for many reasons.

1.  The photographs are in fact stunning
2.  The obvious appreciation the author has for flowers is immediately self evident
3.  The material identified in this book in a manner that is easy to follow and I imagine it would be of interest to anyone who has this passion.
4.  If one was not specifically interested in taking photos, this book would make an exceptional gift as a first-class coffee table book for the remarkable images.
5.  Harold Davis exhibits his skill as a master photographer in this book, and I was very impressed by the marvelous reviews in his many other books, several of which I have seen in libraries and bookstores. The topics include landscapes, Black & White Photography, Darkroom Techniques, Portraits and more

Mr. Davis does not need yet another recommendation of an amateur and I encourage you to look at some of the other reviews from people who are more knowledgeable in the field who have offered their opinions.

It is always a positive experience to find that gift hits the mark and this is a marvelous choice
