An Exciting Week of AI Innovations and Networking

Corlytics Regulatory Monitoring

Between 9th and 12th December we are welcoming Ted Murray and Freddie Frith from Corlytics to Jersey.  Corlytics is a regulatory risk intelligence firm providing horizon scanning data, impact assessment workflow, policy management and risk analytics.

Horizon scanning systems are usually expensive and out of reach for many of the regulated firms we work with in smaller jurisdictions. I have recognised the importance of the products Corlytics provide so have been working with them to produce a dedicated Channel Island centric product.

Ted and Freddie are eager to meet with local businesses to chat about their needs and introduce this exciting new product. If this topic piques your interest, just drop me a reply, and I'll happily arrange a meeting while they're here.

Meeting Fascinating Folks

One of the best parts of my job is meeting so many fascinating people, and last week was no different...

Oben Law & Regulatory

I had a delightful conversation with Alexandra Ruddy, who not only chairs the local IoD Jersey branch but also runs Oben Law & Regulatory. We often think of regulatory and compliance matters as being quite boring, but that's far from the truth, and Alex is anything but boring! We spent an engaging hour discussing the state of compliance in the Channel Islands and, of course, touched on the recent IOD Director of the Year Awards, where Alex shared the stage with the incredible Sally Philips.

Sentient Machines

Next up was my meeting with Dr Danica Damljanovic, the founder of Sentient Machines. If you've caught any of my LinkedIn videos, you'll know that Andy and I are a bit sceptical about the AI hype and the many 'solutions looking for problems.' Well, I'm thrilled to report that Dr Danica Damljanovic has developed an amazing AI tool that monitors customer interactions across emails, chats, phone calls, and meetings. It tackles issues for QA, compliance, and training while also providing real-time support to call centre agents and customer-facing staff.

To wrap up the week, I also had chats with Perrin Carey from CoSteer, who is shaking things up in board effectiveness and organisational development; Toby Sawyer from Flinq who is helping TCSPs unlock the potential of client cash, and Nichole Culverwell Chart. PR, FCIPR from Black Vanilla the PR agency that assists businesses with everything related to communications, brand development, and reputation management.

Wow, what a week it has been!

Enjoy the start of the festive season, and I hope to see many of you at our drinks event on the 12th. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if I can introduce you to any of the fascinating people I've met, and I'll be back next week with the usual bi-weekly update.

Thanks for reading. Paul
