Accenture Vet Lauren Friedman Stat Named to Palantir Board
Lauren Friedman Stat, a 15-year Accenture veteran, has joined the board of directors of Denver-based analytics software provider Palantir Technologies.
She previously worked as a senior adviser to corporate clients and helped them with strategy development, operational optimization and change management initiatives, Palantir said.
Mark Peters Starts Role as Battelle Lab Operations EVP; Lou Von Thaer Quoted
Mark Peters, formerly director of the Idaho National Laboratory, has transitioned to new work as Battelle’s executive vice president of laboratory operations after more than five years of INL leadership.
He has led INL since October 2015 and succeeded Ron Townsend, who retired from Battelle after a 12-year career, the nonprofit research and development organization said Monday.
Former DHS Official Keith Jones Named State Department CIO
Keith Jones, former deputy chief information officer at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), has been appointed as the State Department’s new CIO, FedScoop reported Friday. Jones will have the rank of assistant secretary of state as part of his new capacity, a department spokesperson told the publication.
Pine Island Names David Wajsgras, Matthew Levine as Partners
Pine Island Capital Partners has appointed David Wajsgras, 2020 Wash100 Award recipient, and Matthew Levine to serve as partners and on the firm’s investment committee, the company announced on Friday.
Wajsgras will bring two decades of experience at the senior executive management level, where he has provided operational, strategic and financial leadership across the aerospace, commercial and defense industries. Wajsgras most recently served as president of the Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) business at Raytheon Company, now part of Raytheon Technologies.
Levine, an investment leader and former partner at EQT Partners, will bring more than 20 years’ experience in private equity investing to Pine Island. With EQT Partners, Levine was responsible for all aspects of the investment function, including acting as a co-lead to the fundraise of an approximate $700 million fund, hiring the investment team and leading the go-to-market strategy.
Chris DeRusha Named Federal Chief Information Security Officer
Chris DeRusha, a cybersecurity executive with experience supporting federal, state and private sector security programs, has been appointed by the Biden administration as federal chief information security officer, Nextgov reported Tuesday.
DeRusha served as a member of the technology strategy and delivery team within the Biden-Harris transition team and as CISO for Biden’s presidential campaign.
