Experience France Fête Nationale on July 14: fireworks from a boat & airshow from a rooftop

France Fête Nationale will be different this year, as traditional parades and celebrations including the popular bals des pompiers, where French firefighters host parties in their station houses, have been called off.

However, some celebrations will be maintained with some health measures.

>> Nancy, Roubaix, Le Mans maintained their fireworks.

>> Marseille, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Lyon, Rennes, Bordeaux, Saint-Malo have canceled it.

>> In Paris, the traditional military parade on the Champs Elysées has been replaced by a tribute to the medical workers on Place de la Concorde.

There will be a smaller parade of troops on foot and an airshow, which is possible to admire from the rooftop of La Grande Arche in La Défense.

The fireworks from the Eiffel Tower will take place in special circumstances in compliance with the rules of social distancing. The Prefect of Paris has banned any gatherings starting from 11am on the Champs-de-Mars stretch of grass below the Tower.

>> The best places to see the fireworks in Paris will be from the restaurant located on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse tower, the Café de l'Homme at the Trocadéro, or during a dinner cruise on the Seine.
