Experiencing a New Challenge with Windows 11's File Explorer? Here's What You Need to Do.👇

For businesses that have upgraded to Windows 11's version 24H2, a surprising glitch in File Explorer might be affecting your workflow. Typically, File Explorer is your go-to tool for managing files and folders, providing straightforward navigation. However, a recent issue has emerged with the "See more" menu, identified by three dots, which might disrupt your experience.

What's the Issue?

After the latest update, the "See more" menu, which usually appears directly below your cursor allowing selections like "Select All" or "View Properties," is unexpectedly soaring to the top of your screen. In some cases, especially in full-screen mode, the menu may fly out of view entirely, rendering some options inaccessible and leading to considerable frustration.

A Practical Workaround

Fortunately, there's a temporary fix. You can regain control by switching File Explorer to windowed mode, where it shares the screen with other applications. Click the square icon in the top-right corner next to the close button ("X"). This adjustment allows you to resize the File Explorer window and access the "See more" menu, even if it continues to misbehave.

Hover over the "See more" icon in a minimized window to fully view the menu.

Good News on the Horizon

Microsoft is aware of the problem and is actively working on a resolution. This commitment to addressing the bug should reassure users that a more permanent solution is forthcoming.

Minimize Disruptions

Understanding and adapting to these minor glitches is crucial, as they can be significant impediments when you and your team are focused on productivity. If you're encountering other issues or need further assistance enhancing your business's software efficiency, please feel free to reach out for support.
