Extraordinary Marketing Plan for the 2nd Quarter and Beyond for your Practice
You won’t get wise With the sleep still in your eyes
No matter what your dream might be
Hopefully, you have an excellent New Year’s Marketing plan that’s aggressively being implemented.
My observation is that way too many advisors have a pretty limited “tool box” when it comes to creating systems to consistently feed new, highly qualified clients.
It’s way too common to fixate on one or two things, which frankly nearly guarantees periodic disruptions. A great observation from a meeting with a VERY successful advisor that I had today he observed that most advisors marketing is episodic not systematic. I couldn’t agree more. It’s important to have a number of systems in place. A series of systems that facilitate referrals. A variety of online marketing activities that automate and systematize creating new appointments. Effective direct mail strategies that nurture and educate prospects. And, much more.
If all of your marketing is waiting and hoping for referrals or, is purely dependent upon your personal manual labor then you’re doomed to grow slowly and become the bottleneck in our business.
I’d like to invite you to join me next week for the complete A-Z 2nd Quarter Marketing plan and expanding your options, much of it automated. It’s essential to create many automated systems to free yourself up for activities that only you can accomplish – which is mostly being face-to-face, belly-to-belly (&/or screen to screen in the current environment) with clients and prospective clients.
In closing let me point out the obvious. I remember an interview with Steve Jobs where he said that at this stage in life pretty much everything’s summed up by a Beatles or Bob Dylan song. Well, to quote another of my favorite bands, The Kinks: “It’s mixed up muddled up shook up world.”
In our profession all of the craziness of last couple of years has lead to opportunity for us. It helps prospective clients and clients more aware that they want someone at their side and supporting them in growing their wealth and supporting their financial life. Now, I’m not hoping for prolonged lock-downs or, more riots or, more war....
I’m just pointing out the obvious that when things are tumultuous, you have an even stronger rationale to be the stabilizing force that helps your clients feel comfortable.

P.S. As long as I’m quoting lyrics – another favorite from Rush, and one of my favorite authors Neil Peart (Rest in Peace) – “Something for Nothing” written in his “Ayn Rand stage”. It would be worth framing to remember…..
