F1 is a TEAM Sport!
Singapore hosts the Formula One Night Race. When we see the drivers racing on the track, we know they would not be able to navigate without the support of their team of expert engineers, technicians, who are working diligently watching out and supporting the driver.
As a Team Coach, there is so much we can admire about these F1 teams.
#LewisHamilton, the 7 time World Champion says: We win and lose together.
Before every race, the engineers explore ways to maximise the car’s performance. During the race, teams are monitoring real time data to make risk averse decisions and calibrating best ways to win. With the precision of even changing tyres (2.2 secs) or taking a pit stop at the right time in the race.
After every race, the teams review their performance so as to embrace lessons, evolving ways to overcome mistakes and optimize synergies for the next race. Top management is fully involved to support every race with their presence and seen encouraging the drivers.
What is so admirable to watch is the relationship dynamics between the teams. There is a strong sense of camaraderie, as we witness the teams gelling together with one common objective to have the best performing car, and winning the championship at the end of the year.
