Fall 2024
Dear friends, family, clients, and collaborators,
This past season, we went back to the roots. We focused on presenting works in Montreal, in our original playground, where it all started back in 2010. This city always proved to be an ideal testing ground for all of our public artworks: its constantly changing weather, its tough winters that undebatably evaluate an installation’s robustness and its in-the-know crowds that only endorse true innovation keep pushing us to become the absolute best we can be.
This summer alone, we were able to reveal and test 3 brand new artworks around the city. After getting the Montreal-seal-of-approval, these are now ready to be presented worldwide, together with the 17 other pieces that make up our current touring catalog.
In this newsletter, we will share some of these Montreal highlights of the last few months, and as usual let you in on some exciting updates on projects to come.
Thank you all for bringing our artworks to life around the world, and a special nod to our Montreal family for showing us love this past summer season.
Preview of new immersive piece at MUTEK's 25th anniversary
The preview of our first linear immersive experience VOICES IN YOUR HEAD at Mutek's Village numérique wrapped up our summer on a very high note. This retrospective-exhibition-turned-artistic-residency ran from August 15th to the 29th, and allowed us to test, tweak, and perfect different configurations and artworks from our catalog along the way.
Thank you to everybody who participated and shared their thoughts with us to help the piece grow everyday. The final version of VOICES IN YOUR HEAD will premiere next year, in time for Iregular's 15th birthday. Stay tuned for more.
The 12 artworks showcased in VOICES IN YOUR HEAD are part of a 20-piece catalog of works Iregular is currently touring. Don’t hesitate to reach out for more information about these works or the technologies behind them.

Our biggest outdoor exhibition revealed at MURAL 2024
Over the 11 days of this city-staple urban art festival, our biggest outdoor interactive installation to date titled FORTUNES took over several intersections of the famous Saint-Laurent Blvd. Composed of 5 giant interactive monoliths installed along the boulevard, this project brought us another step closer to turning cities into interactive museums.

Premiere of NEST at BIAN
After a successful preview showcase at SXSW this past March (supported by SODEC and Xn Québec), NEST made its way to Montreal for its first official public premiere. For a month and a half, our first audio-focused interactive artwork that uses our new sound location technology was exhibited at the Elektra gallery during the 7th edition of BIAN (International Digital Art Biennale).
Combining our proprietary tracking system, directional ultrasonic speakers and robotic arms, NEST follows participants and exposes every person in the very same room to a different sonic reality. A first of many other audio-focused pieces to come, NEST is paving the way for an entirely new array of immersive experiences.

Upcoming Projects
We are excited to announce that we have been selected by the Musée de la civilisation in Québec City to co-create and produce with its team an immersive installation that will highlight the museum's collection assets, its archives, and the importance of heritage conservation. This experience will be unveiled and open to the public sometime in 2025.

Back in April, we wrapped up MENTAL MAPS at the McCord Stewart Museum. For 11 months, our immersive video installation let thousands of visitors step into the mind of AI and explore its interpretation of reality. Following the success of this unexpected collaboration defying traditional art genres, we are happy to announce that a new project with the McCord Stewart Museum is in the works. More on this soon!

We are also currently working on three projects that will soon be exhibited across borders. AS WATER FALLS is being reimagined in two new formats: as a touch-activated giant cube for City Place Park in Houston (TX), and as a very large-scale immersive experience to be exhibited in Leipzig (DE). We will also be unveiling a brand new piece at Misk Art week in Riyadh (SA).
