Farewell....after 24 years

Farewell....after 24 years

On the 1st of December 2000 my clever, brave, brilliant friend Sacha Leagh-Murray and I opened our first business together - Market Partners. Our vision was to offer a differentiated recruitment experience for sales and marketing professionals. Two years later Sacha decided that recruitment was not for her and she has gone on to achieve some incredible things professionally and personally. Around the same time John Davies came into my life looking for a career change. After holding executive sales roles John joined the team as a recruiter and within a few years became an equity partner. On the 6th of December, after 24 years working with 1000s of candidates and hundreds of organisations we have closed our doors.

During our 24 years together their have been many ups and downs - mergers, demergers, celebrations, embezzlement, team trips to Hamilton Island, business trips to Necker Island and The Amazon. On a personal level, marriages, divorces, babies, more babies, illness and now grandchildren.

I feel so blessed to have celebrated our last Chorus Executive Christmas Party with the partner who I started the business with and the partner I closed the business with. Having a business partner is like being married and can only be successful over a long period of time when there is trust, respect, honesty, courageous conversations, the odd fight or two and unconditional love.

Thank you John and Sacha for being amazing business partners.

And to all the clients, staff members, suppliers, participants we worked with over the years - I can't name you all but thank you.

And as one door closes another one opens.

John is now a Director at Laurence Executive and I will continue to build PEEPLCOACH which started as a "side hustle" 5 years ago and is now thriving. We currently work with over 80 companies, in 12 different countries coaching hundreds of leaders every week. Stay in contact and see you soon.

Wow, this is an end of an era Christine! Congratulations on building such a fantastic business and helping so many marketers, including me! Best wishes for the future x
