Who are you, and tell us about your role and company?

I’m Brittany Waller, Employer Branding, University Relations, and Communications Leader at Fast Pace Health. My role involves shaping how we present ourselves as an employer of choice, fostering relationships with universities, and ensuring our internal and external communications reflect our values. I work closely with our People Team, helping to strengthen our employer brand, enhance candidate and employee experiences, and showcase the meaningful work we do across our clinics.

What’s your backstory that got you to where you are today?

I started my career as a people leader at Stitch Fix, where I developed a passion for fostering team engagement and creating meaningful connections. That experience taught me the value of clear communication and building a sense of belonging. Those skills led me to Fast Pace Health, where I now focus on storytelling and creating an exceptional employee experience that reflects who we are as a company.

What does your morning routine look like?

My mornings are busy but rewarding. I start by making breakfast and lunches for the family before taking my two daughters to school. When I get back home, I need an iced coffee to kickstart my day, and I always start a load of laundry—it’s my secret to never falling behind! Once that’s done, I dive into my action items for the day and focus on work.

If you could give your teenage self some advice, what would it be?

I’d tell my teenage self to trust the process and not fear pivots. Life has a funny way of taking you where you’re meant to go, even if it doesn’t follow the exact plan you envisioned. I’d also remind myself that confidence comes from experience and growth—don’t be afraid to take chances or make mistakes, because they’ll lead to the best learning moments.

What’s your favorite part of the People Team and our employees?

I love the heart behind everything we do. Our People Team genuinely cares about creating an environment where employees can thrive and feel supported. The employees themselves inspire me daily—they’re passionate, dedicated, and make such a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. It’s incredible to see how everyone at Fast Pace comes together to live out our mission.

What’s your biggest failure, and what did you learn from that situation?

In the past, I sometimes struggled with jumping to conclusions or misinterpreting situations. Over time, I’ve learned the importance of assuming the best in others. Approaching every interaction with the belief that people have good intentions has helped me build stronger relationships and navigate challenges with greater understanding and empathy.

Favorite quote that’s most often used:

"Clear is kind." This simple phrase reminds me that honest and direct communication, delivered with care, is one of the most respectful and effective ways to support others.

If you could gift someone one book to read, what would it be and why?

I’d recommend "Daring Greatly" by Brene Brown. It’s a powerful read that really changed the way I think about leadership. Brene talks about the importance of vulnerability—how showing up authentically and embracing imperfections helps build trust and stronger connections with others. As a leader, it’s made me more aware of how I show up everyday and how I can adapt my leadership style to truly support and understand the people I work with.

What do you do outside of work? Where can we find you on the weekend?

Outside of work, I’m all about spending time with my family and enjoying the little moments. You’ll likely find me playing with my daughters outdoors, coming up with new crafts for the family, or diving into my travel planning side hustle.

When you look into your crystal ball, what are some predictions for the future of Fast Pace?

Fast Pace's future looks bright! I see us expanding even further into new areas, ancillary services, and finding fresh ways to serve our communities. Our team’s dedication to providing accessible and compassionate healthcare will always be at the heart of what we do, and I’m confident we’ll continue to bring in amazing people who share that passion. As we grow, I believe we’ll become an even bigger leader in delivering quality care to underserved areas.
