Fauji Meat Limited, was incorporated in 2013 as a subsidiary of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited, which is the strongest player in the fertilizer industry and falls under the umbrella of Fauji foundation Group.

Fauji Meat limited owns the largest and most technologically advanced meat processing plant located near Port Qasim, Karachi. The plant spreads on 47 acres of land. It incorporates 100% certified Islamic and Halal slaughtering methodology at every step of meat processing to ensure that tender and fresh meat reaches our customers. The facility is built with the aim and capacity to deliver distinctly flavorsome halal meat of Pakistan to the world around. 

Fauji Meat Limited has obtained all necessary approvals, accreditation and certifications by relevant government ministries and international agencies. In the limited span of 5 years, Fauji Meat Limited expanded the international ecosystem by exporting to around 22 countries.

Our Plant is designed to meet the objectives of high quality meat (cattle, buffalo, sheep and goat), by products and rendered products with a holding capacity of 800 cattle, 400 sheep and goat. Daily production capacity of plant is 100 tons of meat (85 tons beef and 15 tons mutton), in both Frozen & chilled categories adhering to international quality and standards.

High and consistent standards begin with careful procurement of locally raised best cattle breeds from a network of over 300 farmers region wide. Qualified vets develop regular vaccination and medication schedules of the livestock to ensure that the animals are disease free and quality meat is delivered. Detailed postmortem coupled with microbiological testing and constant quality checks at each step are carried out to preserve the quality of meat. In lines with Temple Grandin philosophy, the humane treatment of animals is ensured by maintaining strict ethical practices. International breed development in Pakistan is also on the agenda. Plant has a 3 day animal holding area spread on 30 acres for animal welfare and stress reduction to calm the animal down. Traceability and tagging of animals is done on regular basis using Pakistan Farming Mechanics to disregard the meat that is not up to the required standards.

The management sees to it that quality standards at each step are not only met but out done. Throughout the process, climatized environment is maintained which is in conformance with international levels of chilling and freezing. High voltage electrical stimulation system (HVES) is also incorporated to ensure the tenderness of meat. Living to environmental friendly brand repute, Fauji Meat Limited has developed a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). Systematic approach to sanitation and process control is also included, namely Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is applied along with proper Halal Certification & relative accreditation for export business. Furthermore, to preserve freshness the meat, the product is offered in vacuum packaging to increase shelf life of the products up-to 90 days.

Fauji Meat Limited recently entered the domestic arena by launching a one stop meat shop, under the brand name of ‘Zabeeha’. The brand was launched in Karachi on 4th April 2018. Zabeeha stores are now present in major cities i.e. Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi and expanding nationwide. Hygienic, fresh and wholesome beef, mutton, chicken and fish is delivered to the local market. The domestic store ensures organic, natural and healthy products with zero additional additives to full fill the vows of delivering fresh meat and health coupled with taste.

Fauji Group was formed in1954 under the Charitable Endowments Act 1890 as a Charitable Trust for ex-employee of Pakistan Army. Livestock

Facility is built with the aim and capacity to deliver fresh and wholesome meat taste of Pakistan to the world around. For that matter, healthy and farm raised animals are procured from a network of sourcing partners region wide. The dedicated staff look to it that the welfare of animals is ensured. In lines with the Temple Grandin philosophy the humane treatment of animals is ensured by maintaining strict ethical practices. Stress free reduction area for holding animal is built for the same purpose to calm the animal down.

To ensure that distinct and unique flavor reaches the dining tables of the respected customers, the health of the animal is treated with high priority. Our highly professional vets look to it that animals are vaccinated regularly and are provided medications if required.

Farmers

We have a network of over 300 sourcing partners region wide who provide healthy and farm raised animals to us on regular basis. International breed development is also on our agenda. The farmers are selected if they meet the quality standards incorporated by us to ensure that the best quality meat reaches the customers.
