Yes, that's right, unfortunately after 5 years working under this brand I have decided to remove myself and move on to (hopefully) bigger and better things.

A lot of people don't know the back story of my involvement in TheFinanceBusinessPartner so I thought on leaving, I would share my journey.

Back in 2018 after having released my book on FBP I was approached by a gentleman by the name of Andy Shambrook.

The owner and founder of a little known consultancy in the UK called TheFinanceBusinessPartner.

Andy had been doing a similar thing to me in the preceding years and we instantly made a connection. Through shared values and passion we realised we could join forces and attempt to take our knowledge and training to the world. And so he brought me into the fold under his brand.

That was 2018, and what transpired over the next 4-5 years was a business that grew exponentially and provided both myself and Andy a great partnership. I can safely say it has been the most rewarding experience in my 25 year career.

It also led to us bringing in other like minded passionate individuals to help train the future of finance.

Unfortunately that ride hit a bit of a speed bump in early 2022 when Andy suddenly passed away. This event left the business and my role in it in a small state of uncertainty.

12 months on, and after working through that uncertainty, it is now the right time for me to leave the brand to its origins and separate myself from it and make a new start.

There is nothing sinister going on, rather a natural and somewhat expected evolution of a business that lost its founder in unfortunate circumstances.

To any clients I have worked with in the space of the last five years I thank you for having me involved in your team's developments.

And to all the individuals I have spent time with you make my job and career both professionally but also personally rewarding.

Just as one chapter ends another one begins.

Starting on 1 June, I will be launching my new initiative.

This initiative will re-focus on the the 3 most common issues I have run into over the last 7 years when training finance business partners and what we are asked to fix the most:

1 No time or resource to become a great FBP and not knowing how to do it

2 Not understanding your business and having weak relationships, connection and trust with non finance colleagues

3 Inability to communicate to non finance in a way that influences and leads to action.

We call it our

and you can see a glimpse of it in the image above.

If you think you also have a problem with the above, reach out.

We can fix it pretty quickly.

We will also be bringing in a whole new team of global experts. People who have done this for real, and also have a passion for teaching others through their own experiences.

Which means anyone can gain access to our work. Anywhere, any time.

This isn't theory. This is real people having done this for real. Every Day!

That team will be announced in the coming weeks however we are very keen to add to the team.
