Feeling Unseen and Unloved: A Journey of Self-Discovery

Eleven years ago, I felt invisible. It was like everyone around me existed only for their own benefit. Conversations felt transactional, and love seemed conditional. It was easy to believe I wasn't good enough, that my appearance, from my skin to my style, made me unattractive and unapproachable. Even my interactions with family felt distant. Perhaps it was my perception, but the feeling of isolation was undeniably real.

Fast forward to today. While I may not experience a surge of love from everyone I meet, I've cultivated a sense of self-worth and influence. People rely on me, even if they don't express affection in a way I crave.

This journey taught me a valuable lesson: Love is subjective. Just like someone might dislike non-vegetarian food, another person may not reciprocate our feelings based on their own preferences.

The key isn't seeking love based on someone else's definition. It's about self-investment and radiating the love we wish to receive. It's showering others with kindness, not because they'll love us back, but because it's an act of compassion and a reflection of our inner world.

Will this magically turn everyone into a devoted admirer? Probably not. But it will attract the right people, those who appreciate the love we offer and resonate with our genuine selves.

This doesn't mean ignoring the desire for reciprocation. But by focusing on self-growth and unconditional kindness, we attract individuals who value our unique essence. It's about embracing who we are and sharing our love authentically.

The journey towards self-love and meaningful connections is ongoing. While the path may not lead to everyone's immediate affection, it ultimately leads to a more fulfilling existence.
