A Ferocious Containment Berm

A Ferocious Containment Berm

This week’s berm is the Ultra-Containment Berm, Modular Model, also known as the Gorilla Berm (insert ferocious growl here). The beauty of this berm is that it’s modular! Duh. That means, unlike any other berm in the WORLD*, this berm has the ability to be modified in the field (more on that later).

The basics of this berm is: You take the foam support blocks and build out your containment area. You lay the liner on top of the blocks. You put rebar into the channels on the top of the blocks to keep the liner in place. Done.

So how is that “modular?” For example, let’s say your customer has a 40’ x 60’ Gorilla Berm. That’s big enough for two tanker trucks parked side-by-side. But now they need those two trucks in separate areas on site. They can simply remove some of the blocks, rebuild the containment area for one truck and replace the cover.
