Festive Season Message: You’re Not Alone
Last Thursday Thoughts Blog Post
The last story that I wrote was about a crazy marketing strategy that I encountered at a mall in Dubai.
I used that story as an inspiration for marketing my first ever ebook. You can read that story here.
Today, I wanted to write a short blog post about the festive season and people who grew up in toxic homes.
You’re Not Alone
I want to start by saying that I was raised Muslim and I went to an all-girls school in Saudi Arabia until I was 18 (I graduated high school in the year 1998).
I used to practice Islam until about a decade or so ago. I now consider myself spiritual and I no longer practice that religion.
Growing up, we rarely celebrated Eid or other holidays at home. I don’t want to get into details of my childhood in this post. The main thing that I wanted to share is that if you grew up in a toxic home environment and managed to leave that home, your’e not alone.
Your wellbeing and emotional health is so much more important than any holiday celebration.
So if you’re celebrating alone because of your new life chapter, then keep doing what you’re doing.
Not everyone has a positive family or healthy home environment. And some of us left that home to be on our own and didn’t necessarily find a strong social support system. And that’s OK!
I honestly prefer chilling alone at home and minding my own business, even during holidays.
Whatever you choose to do this festive season, trust that you’re not alone and that you’re walking the right path by prioritizing your mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

Doing the Inner Work is Key
I want you to know that your current reality is not the last chapter of your life’s book.
There are beautiful experiences and real connections that are waiting for you to line up with them.
But in order to manifest that new reality, you need to do the inner work and spiritual growth work.
We all have a dream life that we want to manifest, but this manifesting requires doing a lot of inner work.
And to help you move forward and create your dream reality (where you won’t be spending holidays alone), I wrote a 90-page ebook about manifesting love for the insecure woman.
Doing the inner work and then integrating it takes time – in my case, it’s taking years.
So I encourage you to get the ebook now and take the first step towards that dream reality.
I share practical tips and stories from my personal healing journey in that ebook.
You can get it for an introductory price of $9.99 USD from this page.
Let me know how you plan to spend the festive season? Are you celebrating with friends? Are you taking some time to recharge and do solo activities? Are you traveling? How do you feel about the holidays?
Love,
Leela
