County Broadband adds 9 more Suffolk Villages

That Fibre Friday Feeling

Welcome to another exciting edition of That Friday Fibre Feeling!

This week, we bring you great news from the world of fibre broadband as County Broadband adds 9 more Suffolk Villages

County Broadband, the Essex-based community provider, has added nine more Suffolk villages to its ever-expanding network. With a £146m investment from Aviva Investors, the company is all set to provide UK-leading broadband speeds to thousands of rural homes and businesses in these villages.

The high levels of demand for County Broadband's service in the region have prompted the company to greenlight the project. Once the full fibre networks are complete, they will provide speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps, which is a significant upgrade from the outdated copper cables that were previously used. These new networks deliver fibre cables directly to the property, providing a reliable and high-speed connection to users.

County Broadband is working with its build partners, AB Installs and Highway Workforce, to deliver this new infrastructure. The rollout will take place in the following nine villages: Bentley, Brantham, Capel St. Mary, Copdock, Washbrook, Layham, Nayland-with-Wissington, Raydon, and Stratford St. Mary.

This is all part of County Broadband's commitment to delivering full fibre networks to half a million premises across the East of England by 2027. This pledge is aimed at future-proofing the region and boosting economic growth.
