Filmmaker Tracy Jacobson presents intriguing investment opportunity

I just had the pleasure of meeting with a rising star in the filmmaking industry.

Tracy Jacobson, founder and producer/director at Namaste Film Productions, is in Calgary to promote investment opportunities connected with the inspiring projects that she is spearheading.

One film that really pulls on the heart strings is "Empty Handed". This feature-length documentary tells the remarkable story of Betty Tenga, a refugee who experienced extreme conditions and unrelenting grief as a labour and delivery nurse in Sierra Leone. After a harrowing escape from the West African country during the civil war, Betty now performs the same duties on the opposite end of the spectrum at Canmore General Hospital. As producer/director, Jacobson's creative flair and passion are the perfect fit for recounting Betty's heroic journey toward helping Sierra Leonean mothers take their babies home alive – not empty handed.

Jacobson is also producer/director of the coming TV series "Secrets of the Horse". From the elegant Lipizzan riders of Vienna to the rugged nomads of Mongolia, this docu-drama brings to life the unique horse cultures around the world. Examining equine traditions and human connections to the majestic animal will be ideal draws for horse-crazy television viewers as well as those who will simply be captivated by the fascinating stories and high-quality cinematography.

Other Namaste projects in development include two scripted feature films:

- "1000 Years", which tells the tale of a financial analyst struggling with personal and life-threatening issues surrounding an anti-aging drug

- "The Ridge Line", which brings to screen the story of Rocky Mountain climbing pioneer Georgia Engelhard, a photographer and painter from New York who is determined to find her identity by conquering mountains, but her biggest challenge arises when she is faced with a harbored secret by the love of her life, Eaton Cromwell

The opportunity: Equity partners will have a percentage of distribution sales from the films and as preferred shareholders will also receive 10% of Namaste Film Productions future project sales. The minimum investment is $30,000.
