~To manage a team of 4 financial controllers.
Languages:
• needs to be Fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
• Being proficient in other languages such as French & Arabic.
Academic Background:
Bachelor's/master’s degree in finance or accounting from a reputed institution. A professional qualification as a
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst is strongly preferred.
Work experience:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role, within FMCG or Pharmaceuticals sector (preferred), in a Multinational (preferred)
•Big 4 background or similar
• Experience in leading a multicultural team.
• Ability to work in a greenfield environment with changing priorities, developing organizational structures and dynamic settings.
Job duties & responsibilities:
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Director for the Africa region to join their team and participate in the
growth of their global business. As a finance director, you will be responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growth planning, by developing, and implementing the financial strategy of the company in the region.
Your responsibilities:
• Develop annual budgets and long-range plans that meet company requirements and are aligned with the company’s strategy.
• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
• Support Business Leaders in making commercial decisions, driving strategic initiatives.
• Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the countries and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury
controls.
• Provide leadership, direction, and development to the team.
• Prepare finance reports and present the conclusions to the appropriate management level.
• Ensure Compliance and adherence to legal and corporate guidelines.
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
• Conduct analysis and review of P&L and Balance Sheet to provide cost analysis and performance evaluation as needed.
• Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards.
• Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements.
• Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
