FINANCIAL CRISIS AND LIVING BY FAITH

There are times in all our lives when we either face a face financial crisis or simply can’t pay the bills. God is a God of provision. There will always be a means He provides you with or a way out that once you look back was either more than obvious – or nothing short of a miracle. Either way, it was He that gave you the means of a way through and the ability to overcome once you saw your way clear.

How you deal with things once the door has been open is just as vital as when it was opened in the first place.

If you’ve frequently ask questions such as, “Where are you God?” “Why don’t You help me?”, “Hear my prayer, Oh Lord,” and so on. Then you are not alone.

Living by faith, or in the Presence of God is never easy. Not one of the apostles found it easy. Eleven of the apostles were martyred, and the twelfth, John, the brother of James, was exiled. Paul, the writer of two thirds of the New Testament, had both a horrific start to his ministry, challenges throughout his ministry and died for his faith.

Every one of our Old Testament examples also struggled, faced all manner of hardships, persecutions and isolation while being used of God - no matter how blessed they were of God. And our best life example, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, suffered oppression, pain, agony. But above all, Jesus, more than any other, knew the anguish of feeling the extremities of heartache through abandonment.

Therefore if you feel any of the above exampled trials, or the frustrations of life, and the constant attack of the enemy - welcome to God’s best.

Remember, God is a God of provision. There will always be a means He provides you with, or a way out that once you look back was either more than obvious – or nothing short of a miracle. Either way, it was He that gave you the means of a way through and the ability to overcome once you saw your way clear. How you deal with things once the door has been open is just as vital as when it was opened in the first place.

So if you feel it’s all beyond your ability to cope, you’re not alone. Countless others before you felt the same way countless times before. The longest hour is still only 60 minutes long. The following verses provide God’s keys to victory.

Believe not the Circumstances - Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! Habakkuk 3:17-18 – Amplified

Content is Important Now - 11Actually, I don't have a sense of needing anything personally. I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. 12I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty.13Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. Philippians 4:11-13 – Message

Don’t Be Concerned - So I tell you, don't worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? 26Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. 27Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not. 34"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:25-27, 34 – NLT

Don’t Worry - Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Philippians 4:19 – Message

God Will Work It Out - 28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:28-29 – NKJV

He Gives You A Choice - 15"Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between prosperity and disaster, between life and death. 16I have commanded you today to love the LORD your God and to keep his commands, laws, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and become a great nation, and the LORD your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. Deuteronomy 30:15-16 – NLT

Humble Yourself - 6Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,7Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. 8Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. 1 Peter 5:6-8 – Amplified

It’s Our Victory - 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39 – NKJV

Pray - He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea. Psalm 102:17 – NIV

Remember God’s Protection - Remove far from me falsehood and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, Proverbs 30:8 – Amplified

Stop Quarrelling with God - 21"Stop quarreling with God! If you agree with him, you will have peace at last, and things will go well for you. 22Listen to his instructions, and store them in your heart. 23If you return to the Almighty and clean up your life, you will be restored. 24Give up your lust for money, and throw your precious gold into the river. 25Then the Almighty himself will be your treasure. He will be your precious silver! 26"Then you will delight yourself in the Almighty and look up to God. 27You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him. 28Whatever you decide to do will be accomplished, and light will shine on the road ahead of you. Job 22:21-28 - NLT

You Can Be Happy - 20He looked at His followers and said, 'Those of you who are poor are happy, because the holy nation of God is yours. 21Those of you who are hungry now are happy, because you will be filled. Those of you who have sorrow now are happy, because you will laugh. 22You are happy when men hate you and do not want you around and put shame on you be-cause you trust in Me. Luke 6:20-22 – NLV

Your Focus Comes from the Word of God - 7Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don't get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you're going. 8And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind.

Your Focus Comes from the Word of God – (Cont) Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.9Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged. GOD, your God, is with you every step you take." Your Steps can be God Ordained - The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24 – NKJ

When You Pray – Be as Jesus was when He was tempted by the devil during His 40 day fast and pray quoting the scripture as often as possible. When you do that, you call upon the angels of God - they can help bring your prayers to reality.
