Finding the needle in the haystack: Text-based object recognition

Finding and accurately locating objects in large, complex facilities poses a major challenge for the industrial environment. Technicians often have to perform inspection or maintenance work on different equipment and technical assets of the same type, located in different parts of the industrial plant. The problem is that they often do not know where exactly these assets are located. Traditional methods of searching for this information, such as sifting through outdated floor plans or painstakingly looking through numerous documents, can become a tedious and time-consuming task that, in many cases, doesn't even yield resilient results.

That's why in FRAMENCE we harness cutting-edge AI methods to effectively solve these problems and fundamentally change the way you manage your assets.

The new text-based object recognition feature makes finding objects a breeze. All you have to do is open your digital twin and type in the name or a description of the asset you want in the search box. Thanks to AI, the software understands which asset you are looking for and automatically recognizes all relevant objects in the image model. All matching assets in your facility are displayed, including a visual representation and the exact location. Not only does this save you and your technicians valuable time, but it also optimizes your workflows.

This feature can be used in industrial plants as well as in commercial buildings of any kind and helps you to identify, for example, fire safety relevant information such as the number of existing fire extinguishers and their location.
