First Class Metals – Field Season in Full Swing

First Class Metals PLC has provided an exploration update for a number of its properties.

Coco East Fieldwork

At the Coco East Property, First Class Metals has completed its initial campaign to assess the base metal potential of the northwestern section of the property. The northwestern area contains a geophysical anomaly interpreted as a potential continuation of the zinc mineralisation from the Winston Lake area.

The company’s field team was onsite this week, prospecting and sampling (Figure 1) samples have been prepared, bagged and sent to the laboratory for analysis.

Sunbeam Property

At the Sunbeam Property, the company has taken 85 samples from the historic Nuinsco diamond drill core (Figure 2), these samples have been dispatched to the laboratory to assess the gold-bearing potential of the porphyry at the Roy and Pettigrew Targets.

Previous exploration activities by First Class Metals discovered gold mineralisation within the sheared and altered porphyry, generating a new target for gold mineralisation at the property. Previous drilling into the porphyry at the project had not been assayed for gold, so reassaying the historic core could prove insightful.

North Hemlo Fieldwork

First Class Metals’ CEO, Marc J. S. was on site in Hemlo last week (Figure 3). As part of the visit, 25 coarse rejects from Dead Otter Trend are to be re-assayed by photon assay. After reviewing the samples the company believes that coarse gold might be skewing fire assay results, potentially undervaluing the samples, despite the assays being the highest recorded from the North Limb of Hemlo.

Other News

First Class Metals has also received an exploration permit for the Zigzag Lithium Project. The three-year permit will allow the company to assess a new structure delineated in the south and give it more exploration options for the structure drilled last December.

The company also updated its data room and has received a request from a further company to review specific properties.
