First month at IBM - what a blast

Time runs by quickly, time to write about my experience with IBM so far.

First of all I want to express all the new colleagues I have the honor to work with and who welcomed me so nicely a big THANK YOU!

Its easy to start in a company if you work with such an open minded innovative team, willing to help and share information and collaborate to achieve the best for our customers.

So whats so special about IBM?

• IBM has set the sails to re-invent consulting with new approaches. All the consulting colleagues have access to the IBM Consulting Advantage - an AI assistant packed with teamplates that help all the knowledge workers do a better job and be more efficient!
• IBM has its own research centers which are known to produce cutting edge inventions in AI, Quantum and more!
• IBM has build the strategy with AI, Hybrid Cloud and Quantum in mind but wont let the AMS-Services, Security or Mainframe fall behind. All in all its a great portfolio packed with assets that can help customers achieve their goals faster!

I had a lot of meetings (physical and virtual) with people from many different locations. What I learned is: in IBM you can have a career for the next 40 years and still experience new things all the time. IBM is also called the 113 year old startup, I think because it re-invents all the time.

I think the last big transformation happened in 2020 when Arvind Krishna took over as the CEO. The new strategy works fine and its great to see a clear strategy which is understood by everyone.
