Flocking Together: Ducks, Teams, and Office Olympics Dreams!

Flocking Together: Ducks, Teams, and Office Olympics Dreams!

Get your ducks in a row, because our latest Office Olympics was one for the history books!

This year we had the incredible opportunity to welcome all three of our Australia-based team members, Kasey Todd , Mitchell Loft and Selene Di Prisco . The week was packed with fun, bonding, and fierce competition. With Kasey making her U.S. debut and Mitch returning for the third time, their experiences were nothing short of quacktacular!

P.S. Selene’s perspective adds another layer to this dynamic trio’s adventure. Stay tuned—we’ll be hearing more from her in an upcoming feature!

Pre-Trip Jitters (and Excitement!)

For Kasey, this was her very first time in the U.S., after joining LineLeader just 3 months prior to the trip. And while the planning was a bit overwhelming with a family back home, she couldn’t wait to meet the people she’s worked with day in and day out – even while she was an actual LineLeader user! She was brimming with excitement to finally put faces to the names and voices on her daily calls.

Mitch, on the other hand, was cool, calm, and collected. Having made the trip twice before as a 4-year veteran Quack, he knew the drill, but he was still curious to see what new experiences this visit would bring. Spoiler alert: there were plenty

First Impressions: The U.S. & Our Cozy Office

Stepping into the U.S. for the first time, Kasey found it hard to explain how everything felt so different, yet somehow familiar. “It was a really positive experience for me – I loved getting to see the office. It feels so homey and warm. All the US-based Quacks were really welcoming.”

Mitch already knew what to expect, but seeing the office through Kasey’s fresh eyes made it even more special. “It’s always good to meet the new coworkers who have started since my last trip. The team spirit was already in full swing when I got there Monday morning. And being Kasey’s tour guide was really memorable – it gave me a fresh perspective.”

The Big Meet: Virtual to Reality

For Kasey, finally meeting her coworkers in person after working remotely was both overwhelming and exhilarating. She said it best: “It’s wild to meet real people in a real office, in real life!” On the flip side, Mitch—the seasoned traveler—gave Kasey some sound advice: “Your social battery is going to be drained… but in the best way possible!” Mitch believes that while virtual connections are great, there’s nothing like meeting in person to build stronger, more meaningful relationships.

Office Olympics Highlights: Let the Games Begin!

The Office Olympics was the perfect way for Kasey to dive into the team spirit. Her favorite part? Getting to meet people from all across the company and seeing how the competitive energy only made everyone’s bond stronger. Whether it was the wild antics during the Jeopardy challenge or the lively opening ceremonies, Kasey was all in! Mitch had a few standout moments himself—“Scoring a soccer goal past the CEO was a victory I’m still bragging about!” he said. And let’s not forget the sweet relief of flipping his cup in the flip cup challenge. Olympic glory? Check!     Standout Events: Quack-tacular Moments

Kasey’s top pick was the opening ceremonies—an exciting kickoff that made her feel like part of the family right away. Plus, watching everyone battle it out during Jeopardy was a blast! Mitch, always a fan of surprises, loved the crawling event. It was something different and unexpected—just the kind of fun twist that keeps the Olympics fresh every year.

Takeaways: Team Spirit on a Whole New Level

For Kasey, this trip solidified everything she loves about our company culture. Despite the physical distance between Australia and the U.S., she left feeling more connected than ever. Mitch, who came in with a mission to deepen his relationships with the team, did exactly that. Spending time with Kasey made the experience even more rewarding, and it reminded him how important these team-building moments really are.

What’s Next?

Kasey can’t wait for her next visit and has already added Billy Bob’s to her must-see list (yee-haw!). Mitch? He’s pumped for what’s rumored to be an entirely different season for the next event, and he’s ready for whatever new surprises are in store.
