Focus On The Direction, Not The Destination

Focus On The Direction, Not The Destination

"What is the general direction I want my life to move towards?"

You may have heard that to reach your desired goals, it's essential to first be clear about where you're heading. However, it can feel overwhelming to pinpoint the exact destination we want to go to. Painting a complete picture of our aspirations can seem like a daunting task.

Instead, try focusing on the direction you want to take rather than fixating on the specific destination. This approach can make your journey feel more manageable and less intimidating. So, clarify what you want, but concentrate on the general direction and allow yourself some flexibility regarding the destination.

And remember this:

“The Principle of Priority states (a) you must know the difference between what is urgent and what is important, and (b) you must do what’s important first.” ― Steven Pressfield, The War of Art: Winning the Inner Creative Battle

Today, ask yourself:

What is important? What is the general direction I want my life to move towards?

And focus on small, consistent actions aligned with that direction.
