Aero Commander Crash in Virginia
A twin-engine Rockwell Aero Commander 690A, with registration N690BM, crashed on May 5, 2024, near Palmyra, Virginia, claiming the lives of both occupants. The aircraft, manufactured in 1975 and privately owned, was en route from Manassas Regional Airport, Virginia, to Georgetown Airport, South Carolina, when it crashed into a wooded area. Virginia State Police, alongside the FAA and NTSB, are actively investigating the incident

In recent simulations, Boeing demonstrated a digital F/A-18 pilot remotely commanding an MQ-25 to deploy a refueling drogue, utilizing established communication links. This advancement, which aims for future deployment on both Block II and III Super Hornets, marks a significant reduction in communication times between the aircraft, enhancing operational flexibility
