The following three research reports, regarding the connection between Drought, Heatwaves and lack of precipitation.
The following three research reports, one of which is financially supported by the EU regarding the connection between Drought, Heatwaves and lack of precipitation,
1) Quote from the research report from Copernicus below:
Exploring how groundwater buffers the influence of heatwaves on vegetation function during multi-year droughts May 2021.
2) EU supported research report of the correlation between drought, heat waves and the effect of rainfall on the same from March 2022.
3) And another related report from Utrecht University July 2022 about the effect on all life on Earth.
Opens our proposal for an alternative solution model.
"Night artificial irrigation" which is carried out via nozzles which create a water mist effect a la sea mist or artificial rain.
However, the amount of irrigation water must, as a rule, only be 1 mm every night for 365 days of the year - except in frosty weather.
The purpose of "Night Irrigation" is to ensure that the soil surface remains porous, so that natural precipitation can penetrate through the soil surface and seep down to the subsoil, and that the "Night Irrigation" water mist can cool the soil surface, the trees and the biodiversity.
In the event of prolonged drought or risk of wildfire, the system's feed pipe must be designed to handle at least a doubling of the irrigation volume per hour.
The freshwater for "Night Artificial Irrigation" is obtained via large-scale desalination, cf. the presentation and the associated nine-article long consecutive detailed description for a global non-profit water fund in https://lnkd.in/dtPRcGaw
Desalination plants MUST, by definition, be operated with solar energy and the freshwater produced (in drinking water quality) is stored in a dense network of water towers for nighttime consumption and human needs.
See the next article 09.033 which is published on 28 June 2024 and mainly deals with the Why and Implementation of Night Irrigation.
