Footprints Global Family Office Conference London 29 June TAKEWAYS

We hosted our 56th Event in our 11th year at the Washington Hotel Mayfair for mainly our USA Family Offices/UHNW Investors over 3 days with 7 Networking opportunities. We had 40 Family Offices, and this enabled us to showcase from our Portfolio our 7 Founders from UK to France to Italy to USA. Our Family Offices were from UK to Italy to France to Berlin to Germany Dubai and good old USA mostly.

We had 8 Keynote Speakers and 4 Panel Discussions, and we focused on Legacy and ‘Investing to do Good to make a difference’ with a key focus on sustainable projects and technology and Impact and ESG.

TAKEWAYS

Though in the Introduction I had to mention the UK economy and the Mortgage situation and the Inflation rate and the lack of available equity. Though we where not going to bring the mood down of the Conference with what is obvious to those in the room.

I was advised that it is the USA that has ‘dry powder’ not just Family Offices but VC and that is where I should host an Event in September or move our October 19 Event there in Miami or NYC 2023. It seems in the UK we have a very dry spell this year which is going to last well into Q4 2024. Though it was great to hear from Fuel Ventures UK that there EIS Fund is flying with an investment of 60m recently. They are actually interested in our Mettle – A men’s mental health App UK going through DD That is how quick we can make things happen for Founders.

Of course, GCC area and Asia whether Southeast Asia or India eco system is well superior to that in the UK. There were some NEWCOMERS from South America to Australia and Canada.

We have had requests to book Summer 2024 in London which will be 20 June and we are awaiting the details for our discount to book Washington Hotel with our discount.

We wish to thank you for your generosity to support our chosen Charity Home - Caudwell Children we raised through the RAFFLE £480 and we will follow up with the details of the Butterfly Ball Monaco 17 September Monaco for us to have a table. We hope to raise enough to purchase at least a wheelchair specially made with Footprints as our Brand and to arrange a visit to their Charity to share more.
